I am from the drunkenness of perdition, I have been cut to the drunkenness, I have been washed in the dust, in the



water of the ruins,

then put it on my shoulders with a

coffin of wood, bury

me in the way of the ruins, pour

on my grave nothing

but wine, in my mourning except for the rabab,

lest the dear ones who

will mourn in my death, except for the singer and the harp of

your wife, you yourself will protect your head from drunkenness

, for the sultan will not pay tribute to the ruins.
